Born: October 26, 1928 - Deceased: April 12, 2023
Weslie J. Pierce, 94, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, October 26, 1928, in Doniphan, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at his residence in Belleville, IL.
Weslie was a Production Foreman for Monsanto Chemical Company for 35 years and a 15 year manager of Monsanto Employees Credit Union. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Swansea IL, St. Clair Lodge #24 AF & AM and was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War era.
He left a legacy of love by being a great husband, (married to his wife Georgia for 73 years), father, father-in-law & grandfather. He was always there when his family needed him, no matter the situation. Whether it was to help with fixing something around the house, a car or helping someone move. He was always willing to help his family, friends or neighbors. Sometimes he was ornery, but he was the most loyal, hardest working man you would ever know, with the biggest heart.
He was an avid fisherman and loved fishing on Current River. He enjoyed taking anyone who wanted, to fish with him. He enjoyed quality time with his family hosting fish frys at their farmhouse or home, playing Dominoes every week with his family, and watching Cardinals games with his wife & family. Weslie loved taking care of his family. He was a Christian, and prayed for his family and friends every night.

Sorry to hear of Wesley’s passing. Wesley was last of Dad’s (Tom Walton) Air Force buddies. I was glad I was able to get Dad that way to visit Wesley & Georgia a few years back. Dad & Mom , Wesley & Georgia always remained in touch and get together at times both at the house and farmhouse along the river. Although after seeing a snake in a tree Mom refused to go the the farmhouse again!! Have heard fun enlightening stories from our parents when they would get together. Dad would still enjoy Wesley’s company, even though Wes routed for the Cardinals and Dad was a die hard Cubs fan! Dad had attempted to call Wesley a few months back. But with his hearing problem it was hard for Dad to carry on a conversation. May you all find peace and comfort with all the fond memories.
Our love ,
