Renee J. Dietz, nee DeFrates, 51, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, January 15, 1971, in Belleville, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Oh my gosh I am so saddened by this and have the deepest sympathies for Brian, Chloe and the rest of the family. You guys were such a fun family, always together, always doing something a little bit outrageous. Thank you Renee for your years of taking care of Katie, and for hosting parties, and all the fun you’ve brought to the neighborhood. We will miss you so very much.
I’m so sorry to hear this news. Blessings and comfort to the entire family now and in the days ahead.
I’m shocked and heartbroken for the family. I was very close to Renee when I helped care for Irv. They are one amazing family, and Renee will be dearly missed. She was an amazing person! I’m so sorry
God Bless your family today and every day-I remember your wedding and Renee was an absolute ray of sunshine!❤️
We are so sorry for your loss. Thoughts & prayers are with Renee’s husband, daughter and her sisters, Lissa, Lanna & Stacey.

I am profoundly sorry that this bright, shining light has gone out. May the memories of this beautiful person warm and comfort you all in this inexplicably difficult time.
Sympathies to Renee’s family and all who loved her! She was a delightful young woman who had such an amazing voice and loving spirit! I was blessed to have her as a voice student during her high school years. So enjoyed our time together making music! May God grant you comfort during these days of loss! 🙏❤️🎵🎶🎼🎤
I met Renee through my then boyfriend , now husband, Dr. Geoffery Stanczyk. She was the lead singer in a band called When Pigs Fly. I was star struck with her over the top personality and her ability to make you feel welcomed into her world by her contagious laugh and big beautiful smile.
Chloe has been raised by a bigger than life Mother. I can’t imagine how Brian and her must be feeling. I know the Sisters will try to surround them with the same love and laughter as best they know how with the every memory being ‘Renee would have liked that’.
I am trying to find the good in her being gone and I am struggling to see it. Guess she got the audition call that she had been waiting for so long. I will hear her in every song, high school musical, wedding, anywhere and I will think ‘Renee would have done it better’.
Be our beautiful angel now as you were our beautiful friend. We will still look to you for a laugh and the best of our memories.
So sorry to read the news of Renée’s passing. I simply knew her as the youngest of the DeFrates girls & neighbor. I delighted to hear her sing & utilize her talents. May all her beloveds know that prayers are ascending for comfort & peace. Wishing you all buoyancy through your grief with special memories & times together too.
We were so shocked and saddened by the news of Renee’s death. Our prayers are with you, Brian and Chloe. Rest eternal grant her, O Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon her.
