Martin Bendick Sr.

Martin Bendick Sr., 106, of Belleville, IL, born Sunday, May 14, 1916, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, IL.

Martin was a skilled craftsman who was employed by Swift and Company located at the National City Stockyards. He was a member of Signal Hill Lutheran Church in Belleville, IL where he served as an usher and a Sunday School Teacher. He was also a member of the Toastmasters. Martin loved God, family along with golf, bowling, growing tomatoes and playing cards with family.

He was preceded in death by his:

Visitation: Visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, January 23, 2023 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Wiesner officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
