Jane Massey Bohannon was a life long friend from Brookport. We went to school together and attended mcKendree together. Jane worked with the youth from St Matthew UMC for many years. A dedicated Christian and faithful church member. I was proud to be her pastor for most of my 37 years at StM.
Jane was a beautiful woman and will be missed by her family and all others who were blessed to know her.
Tom and I were blessed to be included in her family! She was truly a wonderful lady and we have many sweet memories of Mama Jane! You will always be in our prayers and sorely missed! RIP Miss Jane!
Love,
Tom and Lana Presley
Dear Family,
My heart is broken for you over the loss of dear Jane! We had so much fun attending church and singing together in the choir at Saint Matthew! She was a lovely lady, inside and out! I will always remember her beautiful smile and her jolly laugh! I’m praying that you will feel God‘s loving arms wrapped around you, holding you close and filling you with His peace in the days and weeks ahead.
My early memories of Jane includes Thursday Night Prayer Group with my parents and a host of other strong Christian role models that continue to impact my life decades later. I Can Only Imagine the celebration as they all greeted her in heaven.
She was forever the target of well-meaning “love pranks” by members of the St. Matthew Senior MYF as well as our beloved minister. Kind, soft-spoken and a heart as big as all outdoors, Jane’s handprint will remain on the hearts of many. Well done good and faithful servant.
