Wade H. Johnstone III, 78, of Belleville, IL, born Sunday, December 16, 1945, in New York City, NY, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Wade was a decorated officer who served in the United States Navy as a Cryptologist, and was awarded the Purple Heart during his service. He was an experienced musician, playing in and managing Souled Out, as well as a skilled craftsman who enjoyed restoring and selling drum sets. Wade enjoyed donating his time playing drums in his church praise band and spending time with family and friends.

Visitation: A brief visitation is scheduled May 1, 2024 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Kurrus Funeral Home, 1773 Frank Scott Pkwy W, Belleville, IL 62223,
Services: Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. officiated by Rev. Nicole Cotton. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
