Shirley A. Havey

Shirley A. Havey, nee Duniphan, 79, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, January 12, 1945, in Marble Hill, MO, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO.

Shirley worked in the security department for St. Louis University while earning her master’s degree.  She was a faithful member of Swansea Baptist Church in Swansea, IL where she attended services twice a week and regularly served as a security team member. She volunteered at the church’s food pantry on Mondays and Wednesdays for many years and also worked the annual scouting for food drive. She loved working with children at the vacation Bible school and yearly gingerbread house making event, but most of all she loved her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her:

• Brother, Dannie Duniphan
• Sister, Lois Kinny

Visitation: Visitation from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Swansea Baptist Church 292 Frank Scott Parkway East, Belleville, IL 62226.

Memorial Service: will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Swansea Baptist Church, with Pastor Wilson Wickiser officiating.
