Marilyn Lontz Shupp, 82, of O’Fallon, IL, born Saturday, January 6, 1940, in Whittier, CA, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at Keystone Place at Richland Creek Assisted Living in O’Fallon, IL.
Before her retirement Marilyn was the owner of the H & R Block in Mascoutah, IL. She was a member of Signal Hill Lutheran Church in Belleville, IL. Marilyn earned a BA in Journalism at Pennsylvania State University in 1961, a MA in Journalism from Pennsylvania State University in 1962. Marilyn co-founded Midwest Salute to the Masters Festival of Fine Art in Fairview Heights, IL. Marilyn was a former Trustee of Fairview Heights Public Library, and Past President, Elder and volunteer at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairview Heights, IL which has now closed.
Her membership includes Mensa, the Penn State Alumni Association, Lifetime Member of Delta Zeta Sorority and the Belleville Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution National Society.
Marilyn was an avid Cardinal baseball fan! She was dearly loved by all who knew her. Her kindness was limitless, and she will be missed by her entire family.

- Loving husband of 60 years: Richard W. Shupp of O’Fallon, IL
- Daughter: Karen (Steven) Tipp of Kirkland, WA

Memorials: Memorials may be made to Vitas Hospice in Fairview Heights, IL.
Visitation: Visitation from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Kurrus Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

I came into the life of Marilyn when she moved to Keystone. I will always remember her laughter and the fun we had playing cards. I miss you my friend
