Lynn Ellen Ellison, nee Colliflower, 76, of Belleville, IL, born Thursday, September 18, 1947, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 15, 2024 at her residence in Belleville, IL.
Lynn was the owner and operator of Cat N Fiddle Tavern in Belleville and worked for St. Clair County as a Jury Commissioner.
She was preceded in death by her:
- Parents: Milton and Dolores, nee Murray, Colliflower
- Father of her children: James V. Ellison, Jr.

- Dr. Brianne Kapp
- Great grandson: Asher Myles Lewman
- Dear nieces, nephews, and cousins
Special Thank you: a very special thank you to her caretakers, sister-in-law, Peggy McNelly, Mary Hill, Katrina Eugea, and Emma Zinn.
Lynn enjoyed her three G’s: Golf, Gambling, and her Golfing Girlfriends. Most importantly, Lynn dearly loved her children, grandchildren and friends. Her time spent with them was truly precious to her.
Lynn was also a gifted businesswoman and her work ethic was second to none. She charmed everyone with her contagious laugh and delightful personality. She will be dearly missed by those knew and loved her.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation: Visitation from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Kurrus Funeral Home with MSGR William McGhee officiating. Interment will be Private.
