Lucille Sudol, of Belleville passed away quietly on Monday evening, May 31, 2021. Lucy was beloved and adored by all who knew her. With her quick wit and her keen mind, being with Lucy was always a joy, never boring. Lucy had many interests, but learning, travelling, and spending time with family and friends were the things she enjoyed the most. All who knew Lucy are the better for it, and she will be missed sorely.
She was a member of Signal Hill United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, PEO Chapter GM, Thursday Literary Club, and William McKendree Society.

Visitation: Visitation from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Arthur Francis officiating. Private interment will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. She will be sadly missed, but remembered with many happy moments. Such a wonderful soul always…
I’m sorry that Lucy has passed. I never met her, but she communicated with my dad at holiday time through Christmas letters and I just looked her up to notify her of my dad’s passing last February and was sorry to see that she also passed. My dad was very close to Ted back in Woonsocket, RI and then in NYC. They had such an interesting generation.
