I was blessed to have known Jerry my entire life and doubly fortunate to have practiced ophthalmology with him for 12 years. Not only was he one of the nicest men I have ever known, he was a great mentor, doctor, and friend.

Friend, Neighbor Classmate, Superb Physican, loving Husband, good and generous Father Jerry you will be missed. Our prayers for Tutor and family
I only had the privilege of working with Jerry for about six months. However, I was the primary recipient of his Ophthalmology practice as he retired and I began my career. As such, I can uniquely speak on behalf of his patients who have for many years told me of how professional, compassionate and caring a physician he was. Thank you Tudor for sharing him with us.
To the Family of Dr. Basinski: we were all blessed to have know him all of our lives. We always knew we were in good hands and we would get the best care. He was kind to everyone. My sincerest sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
I am so sorry Tudor and the family . My prayers go out to you. I enjoyed working for Dr Basinski for about 20 years before he retired . He was so nice to us and his patients . He will be missed 😥
Tudor, please accept my sincere sympathy and condolence for your profound loss.
Mrs. Basinski, I am late to the comments as I just learned of this today while my parents were visiting! Mom sent a message and somehow I missed it which I am saddened! You all always hold a special place in my heart in so many ways! We had so much laughter at your house and loved your cooking and the special eye care that still rings true today! God bless you today and always! Not everyday will be easy, but he is always with you!
I just found a prescription with Dr. Basinski’s name on it and decided to google his name. I’m so sorry to learn of his passing. In 1987 he diagnosed my four-month old son with congenital glaucoma. It was devastating news, but he delivered it in the kindest way possible and sent us to a wonderful specialist at Barnes. My son continued as his patient for many years. He just turned 38; still has his eyesight today, thanks to Dr. Basinski’s diagnosis and referral; and has two children of his own. Dr. Basinski’s skill, expertise, knowledge was so important to us; but his compassion and kindness is what I most remember.
Our sympathies on the loss of a truly special person.
