Elizabeth “Cuqui” Crespo-Martinez, 79, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, July 10, 1942, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022; at St. Paul’s Home in Belleville, IL.
Elizabeth was a doting wife to William for 60 years as well as a loving mother and grandmother. Elizabeth, known as “Cuqui” by those closest to her, loved people and helping those in need. Her genuine kindness and compassion for others made her the most loyal of friends. She cared deeply for her family and gave tirelessly to anyone in need. Elizabeth was a former member of Belleville Christian Center where she served the Lord and His ministry to the poor and needy.
She was preceded in death by her:
- Parents, Jacob and Leonor, nee Nieves, Banuchi
- Loving brother, Victor Banuchi

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Belleville Christian Center.
Visitation: Visitation from 10:00 – 12:00 pm, Tuesday, January 25th, 2022, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Pastor Butch Caldwell and Pastor Gerry Brandmeyer officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
