Ann was a special lady. I worked with Ann at Four Fountains Convalescence Center & she worked with a non-verbal stroke patient so she could sing happy birthday to me. Sweet memories. Ruthie Willett
Dr. Carey was my Voice and Cleft Palate Professor at SIU-E in the Speech Language Dept. She was invaluable in preparing me when my nephew was born with a unilateral total Cleft Palate. Loved her classes. She was a gift of knowledge she shared with all her students. I remembered how tickled she got when we decorated her office door for her birthday. My Condolences.
My mother (Mary Quinn Bante) and Ann became friends in college. I know they both cherished the friendship. Please accept my condolences
Ann was my instructor, mentor, colleague; guiding me through my stages as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Her guidance and generosity will always bring back wonderful memories of our times together and the events we shared at SWISHA, ISHA, MSHA (Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association), and ASHA. She will be greatly missed.
