Christopher David Reynolds, “Dave”, 83, of Belleville, IL, born Tuesday, February 20, 1940, in St. Louis, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 14, 2023, surrounded by family.
After graduating from Belleville Township High School, Dave joined the U.S. Navy until 1962. After honorably serving in the Navy, Dave began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone. After 33 years of working with Southwestern Bell, he retired as Director of Corporate Services. During this time at Southwestern Bell, Dave also earned a Bachelor Degree from Webster University.
In 1962, Dave met Ann Varone and they wed in 1964. They went on to have two daughters, Pollyanna (Kerby) Claney and Amy Jane (John) Warren and four grandchildren, Jacob (Cori) Warren, Matthew David Warren, Grace Claney, Lily Claney and one great-grandson, Theo Warren.
Dave was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who didn’t miss a game, recital, concert or academic achievement of his wife’s, children or grandchildren.
Outside of family activities, Dave’s hobbies and joys included taking care of his pets, golfing, building projects, problem solving, general handyman things and assorted crafts from wine corks. His nickname from those that knew him best was “Super Dave” as there was not anything he could not fix.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris Gerald and Arabelle, nee White, Reynolds.
Surviving are his wife of over 58 years, children, grandchildren, one great grandson; brothers, John (Rebecca) Varone and Henry (Annette) George; nieces and nephew.

Visitation: Visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL and from 10:00 – 11:00 am Monday, April 24, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 24, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with Fr. Matthew Elie officiating. Private interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery at a later date.

I want you to know that I am so sorry for the loss of David. He was a wonderful husband,father and grandfather! Our prayers are with you all!!
Please know I an so sad to learn Dave passed away.
I will always remember that smile and his sincere greetings whenever i saw him and Ann.

Dave was a great guy and very funny and fun loving . I always enjoyed being in his company and loved talking with him . I am sorry that my time has been limited and I will miss him terribly…
