Daniel Frank Strobo, 78, of Belleville, IL, born Tuesday, August 28, 1945, in Chicago, IL, passed away suddenly, Monday, April 22, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Daniel “Dan” was teacher for Signal Hill Jr. High, Dupo High School, Sylvan Learning Center, BAC (now SWIC), and substituted at various other Catholic Schools throughout his 40 plus year career as an educator – achieving his Master’s Degree in Education at Maryville University. During his tenure, he became heavily involved in the athletics department where he discovered his passion for coaching. He coached basketball, tennis and track and was commonly referred to as “Coach” by his many students and associates.
Dan maintained a love for family, games, sports, jokes, trivia, and even math up until his death.
He was preceded in death by his:

- Sister: Nancy Hefferan of Chicago, IL

Memorials: Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society – Prostate Cancer Research or to McKendree University.
Services: Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024 at First United Presbyterian Church, 1303 Royal Heights Road in Belleville, IL with a Service starting at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rob Dyer officiating.
