Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Schuepbach, nee Benedick, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024, at the age of 75. Her spirit will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Born on October 26, 1948, in East St. Louis, IL, Cindy loved music, dancing, traveling, sunbathing, and eating chocolate. She spent countless hours dancing with friends including on cruise ships. Cindy’s adventurous spirit took her across the globe with friends and family. She explored the wonders of the world, from large European cities to the serene beaches of the Caribbean. The sun was Cindy’s constant companion. She found solace and energy in its warmth, whether she was sunbathing on a tropical beach or sitting at a Cardinal’s game. And at Brooking Park, Cindy loved it when you snuck her M&Ms.

I remember mostly Cindy’s grocery shopping skills. She’d use so many coupons and end up with 4-5 bags of groceries for less than $10. An expert at the grocery store. And our Friday night card games and watching Dallas on TV. RIP Cindy.
I remember this very well too. I was always at the house growing up with Jill. She had cereal lined up on top of the cabinets and always found a bargain.
