Christopher Michael Barnes, 32, of New Athens, IL, born Wednesday, March 4, 1992, in Belleville, IL, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024.
Chris was a wonderful, caring, big-hearted, one-of-kind soul who truly lived his life to the fullest. He had an innate affinity with nature, often choosing to spend his time outdoors. From exploring wherever the roads would take him, to enjoying the sights of nature and the animals within, he could never get enough. During these adventures his kindness was apparent to those around him. He always found time to lend compassion and help to others he met along the way. He dedicated many years to his job at Taco Bell where he honed his skills in customer service and worked with an amazing team. He has left a profound impact on those who knew him, and will be missed beyond words.

I love you big cousin. We had so many laughs together when we were younger. You were always there for my sister and me and thankful for that. I am so heartbroken on what happened. One day we will meet again. My thoughts and prayers goes out to everyone through this tough time. Miss you so much.
God rest your soul Chris. In the Name of Jesus, amen.
