Charles Earl Brown

Charles Earl Brown, 80, of Smithton, IL, born Friday, December 29, 1939, in Karnak, IL, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at residence in Smithton, IL.

Charles served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, retired after 23 years of service, then he drove for Goodwill for 26 years.

He was preceded in death by his:

• Parents, Roy and Evelyn nee Little, Brown
• Infant brother, James Roy Brown
• Sister, Connie Sue Brown

Surviving are his:

• Wife, Marilyn, nee Avery, Brown of Smithton IL
• Children:

Visitation: Visitation from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois. COVID-19 restrictions will be followed, masks required and social distancing. Limit of 10 persons at any one time during the visitation. Please be respectful of time and do not linger so others may pay their respects to the family.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Kurrus Funeral Home. Private interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
