Barbara “Barb” Brauer

Barbara “Barb” Brauer, nee Slazes, of Belleville, IL, born Thursday, September 3, 1942 in Chicago, IL, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Barbara retired as an administrator for St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in 2004. She was a member of Signal Hill Lutheran Church in Belleville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her:

• parents, Michael and Josephine, nee Dauter, Slazes

• The father of her 3 children, Robert (Marguerite) Brauer

Barbara graduated high school in 1960 from Arlington High School in Arlington Heights, IL. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and her Masters Degree in Education from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. She was an avid reader and gardener. She loved her pets almost as much as she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 12:00pm, Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Signal Hill Lutheran Church, 8100 W. Main Street, Belleville, IL 62223.

Funeral Service will start at 12:00 pm, Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Signal Hill Lutheran Church in Belleville, IL.
