Alvin E. Boxdorfer, 92, of Belleville, IL, born Wednesday, November 18, 1931, in Perryville, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at in Belleville, IL.
Alvin worked at Scott Air Force Base and then later at the Defense Mapping Agency in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church Belleville, IL and a proud United States Air Force Veteran who served during the Korean War. Alvin enjoyed the outdoors; fishing hunting and camping. He was among the best pistol target shooters in the midwest. Alvin was the 1980 Illinois State Silhouette Champion. He enjoyed baseball, bowling, and playing pinochle. Alvin enjoyed seeing his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren following their passions.
