George Joseph Galle Jr.

George Joseph Galle Jr., 65, of Sullivan, MO, born Tuesday, February 18, 1958, at St Mary Hospital in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Saint Louis, MO.

George worked as a Mechanic and a Welder for most of his life and could usually be found in the garage tinkering with one thing or another. He was an Eagle Scout in Troop #22 of East St louis IL, and a graduate of O’Fallon Township High School and a proud Navy Veteran where he served for 4 years on the USS Constellation. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

• Maternal grandparents, Matt J. and Anna, nee Meravy, Lisac
• Paternal grandparents, Steve and Josephine, nee Pfeffer, Galle

• Brother, Tom (Debbie) Galle of MO
• Daughter, Lisa Marie Nielsen of NV
• Grandson, Mattix Geraci of NV

Funeral: A Memorial Mass will be planned at a later date.

Interment: A procession will leave Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL at 10:45am, Friday, June 30, 2023, for a committal service with Military Honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
