Orlou “Lou” Herzog

Orlou “Lou” Herzog, nee Steinmann, 98, of Belleville, IL, born Sunday, December 21, 1924, in Waterloo, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, IL.

Lou worked as a Registered Nurse for a Clinic in Chicago, IL. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Belleville, IL, and the Senior Adults of the Church, LIFT, Christian Women’s Club, New Life Club at St. Matthew Church in Belleville, IL and loved to Golf.

She was preceded in death by her:

• Husband, Walter E. Herzog
• Parents, Albert and Mathilda, nee Voelker, Steinmann
• Brothers:
  • Calvin Steinmann
  • Warren Steinmann
• Sister, Alberta Belt

Surviving are her:

• Brother, Glenn Steinmann of Springfield, MO
• Sister, Kathy Bauer of Granite City, IL
• Many loving nieces and nephews

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation: Visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 am, Friday, June 16, 2023 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 16, 2023 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. David Raynaud officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery, Hoyleton, IL.
