Born: May 18, 1934 - Deceased: 20220429
Phyllis Ann Crader, nee Mercer, 87, of Swansea, IL, born Friday, May 18, 1934, in West Frankfort, IL, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at St. Paul’s Home in Belleville, IL.
A sociable woman who made friends easily, Phyllis loved her family unconditionally. This was shown by her working as a data entry specialist for Bank of America. It was not a career, but allowed her to provide for her family, and that was good enough. As the daughter of a Southern Illinois coal miner, she understood the ups and downs of life and always made time for those in need. Phyllis loved country music, antiquing with friends, playing Bunco, tending to her flower garden, was talented at crocheting, and approached shopping like an Olympic sport. Phyllis was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
