Carol Jean Calbreath, nee Thomas, 89, of Glen Carbon, IL, born Monday, March 6, 1933, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Edwardsville Care Center in Edwardsville, IL.
Jean loved taking care of her family, they were her world! She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean was a fantastic cook and trained cake decorator. Her signature dish was chicken and dumplings. She was a very faithful Christian and enjoyed going to church.
She was preceded in death by her:

Visitation: Visitation from 9:30 – 11:30 am, Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Gordon Calbreath, Rev. Edwin Potz and Rev. Jeremy Drake officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

We enjoyed knowing Jean and her husband Henry as members of Abundant Blessings Church and as friends.
We enjoyed visiting with your parents when they were our neighbors in Troy. We’re sorry for your loss. They were both wonderful people.
