Ethel M. Murphy, nee Munro, 92, of Swansea, IL, born Friday, September 13, 1929, in East Saint Louis, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021; at Grand Manor Senior Living in Swansea, IL.
Ethel worked as a teacher’s aid for School District #175 and was lovingly known by the students as Grandma. She was a member of Winstanley Baptist Church, Fairview Heights IL, Ruth Sunday School Class, Majority member of Jobs Daughters International, Belleville Chapter #24, 50 year member of both Rob Morris Chapter #98 O.E.S. and Queen City Chapter #697, Al Sihah Temple #29 Daughter of the Nile, and Ainad Belles.

Funeral: Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 pm, Monday, November 22, 2021 at Winstanley Baptist Church, with Dr. Timothy Gibson officiating. Private interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
