Carolyn J. Hundley, nee Switzer, 85, of Belleville, IL, born Monday, December 9, 1935, in E. St. Louis, IL, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021; at her residence in Belleville, IL.
Carolyn was best described as fun! She had an incredible zest for life and didn’t know a stranger. She was a true beauty so people naturally flocked to her and stayed because of her incredibly warm and fun personality. Carolyn was the best mother, gammy and aunt you could ever know. She put so much time and love into her relationships.
One of her greatest joys was working at her family owned business, Switzer Foods. She rose from clerk to sales to president and loved every role. She was incredibly proud of the company her parents built and happy to be a part of it’s success. She worked with many family members along the way and it was pure joy for her. She was loved as a leader and mentor.
She loved attending all the events her children and grandchildren were involved in. She took such pride in everyone’s accomplishments. She enjoyed telling stories of her adventures and one of her favorites was the story of her winning a Cadillac on the Casino Queen. She took several incredible trips to Europe and enjoyed traveling many times to Las Vegas and Florida.
She enjoyed playing sports especially playing tennis at Oak Hill and bowling at Panorama where she made many friends. She treasured those memories.

- Loving nieces and nephews
Memorials: Memorials may be made to Family Hospice or Belleville Area Humane Society.
Visitation: Visitation from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Monday, November 1, 2021 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday, November 1, 2021 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenneth York officiating. Private interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
