Wesley H. Cook, age 81 of Belleville, IL. Born on September 27, 1939 in Belleville, IL. He died August 20, 2021 at Integrity of Smithton in Smithton, IL from complications related to Alzheimer disease.
Wes served in the US Army. He was a dedicated Belleville Firefighter from January 1, 1963, retiring as Chief of the Belleville Fire Department on July 1, 1989. He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. Wes was happiest at his home on Truman Reservoir in Warsaw, MO.

Sorry to hear about Wes. We kept up on his health thru Pat. You have our deepest sympathy.
Wes was a great friend and mentor to me when I first became Fire Chief in Mascoutah. He was also the inspiration in naming our son Wesley. Rest In Peace Chief Cook.
