Berniece A. Galle

Berniece A. Galle, nee Lehr, 93 of Sparta, IL, born Friday, Sept. 30, 1927 in Johannisburg Township, IL passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, IL.

Berniece worked at New Athens Shoe Factory for 22 years and Sparta Community Hospital for 30 years. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Biddleborn, IL; a life member of Ladies Auxiliary of New Athens VFW, Post #7710 and a life member of Trinity Women’s Guild.

She was preceded in death by her:

• Parents, Adolph P. and Margaret, nee Kraus, Lehr
• Grandson, Louis Galle
• Sister, Lillian Triefenbach

Surviving are her:

• Husband, William G. Galle of Sparta, IL
• Son, Dennis (Cindy) Galle of Marissa, IL
• Daughter, Diane (Paul) Harper of Sherrill’s Ford, NC
