Virginia “Ginny” T. Schofield, nee Turner, 97, of Belleville, IL, born Tuesday, July 5, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Mercy Rehabilitation Center in Swansea, IL.
Ginny was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Belleville IL, where she served as a secretary for several years. Ginny was also involved with the knitting group, where they created prayer shawls. Ginny was a member of the Rob Morris Chapter #98 O.E.S., AL Sihah Temple #29 Daughters of the Nile, Hannah Circle, Ainad Belles, and Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation: Visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 11th, 2024 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL with a Rob Morris Chapter #98 O.E.S. and Al Sihah Temple #29 Daughters of the Nile services.
Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 11th, 2024 at Kurrus Funeral Home with Rev. Abby Croissant officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.

Ginny was one of the sweetest people I knew. I worked with her at the church. I gave her some of my mother’s formal dresses to wear at the different events that she attended. I’m very sorry for your loss. She was the best!
