What a terrible loss!!! My sympathy to his family and friends. George and I worked many years together in the bond department (Legacy AGE ❤️). He will be deeply missed. I do have to share the most recent story with him that I will always treasure. It was at a recent Bond Department Happy Hour at Humphreys. March of 2023, where I was trying to get everyone to come outside on the patio, since it was such a beautiful day. Of course, no one wanted to move from the inside bar. So the bartender outside helped me a little bit by filling up some plastic shot glasses with water. And I proceeded to put a couple drops of Mio in each of them, which I had brought along to the bar to mix in my vodka and water drink. I then went inside to tell everyone I was buying shots outside at the patio bar. George was one of the first ones out and was a taker of the shot and afterwards he looked at me and said, “Man that was good. What was that?” He wasn’t the happiest when I told him that it was just water and some of my Mio additive. But we did have a good laugh. I also had to give him a hard time when he went to the soda machine time after time after time throughout the working day 😉 AND When I said he was starting to look like Santa Claus. I meant because of his growing white beard, but I think he took it another way lol. We always had a good time together!
RIP George
Another good one taken wwaayyy to early 😢 💔
Michael,
We worked with your dad at AG Edwards. He was Jim’s “go to” person. George was one of the brightest individuals either of us have ever met. He was also one of the kindest. He did not suffer a fool but was always a gentleman. Please know we are thinking of you and sending our deepest sympathy. We loved George and thought the world of him.
