Laura Lee Cook, nee Stewart, 74, of Fenton, MO, born December 7, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, MO, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, at Keystone Place at Magnolia Commons in Glen Carbon, IL.

- Many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins
Laura was an open-heart surgical nurse at Barnes Jewish Hospital for over 30 years. She was a free spirit with a wicked sense of humor and fiercely independent. She enjoyed taking on her own home repairs and remodeling projects, big or small. She had a curiosity about and was self-taught in many subjects and wanted to try everything. Most of all, she was kind and generous beyond measure. She will be missed greatly.
Laura was never without her beloved dogs by her side, and whose company she desired “more than most people”.

I remember laura she was a funny happy wonderful person I will miss her. Always had a joke to. Tell. Always made you laugh. I will miss you’re smile happy pleasant volice always made me laugh. Have a good rest you deserve it to her family you have my condolences laura till we meet again in heaven
