Velda Joyce Gerstenecker, nee Prince, 90, of Waterloo, IL, formerly of Lebanon, IL, born Saturday, September 20, 1930; in East Saint Louis, IL, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Red Bud Regional Hospital in Red Bud, IL.
Velda received a Bachelors degree from SIU-C in 1955. She spent her career as a statistical research analyst supervisor for the Illinois Department of Security Employment. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon, Il. Velda and her beloved husband Tom traveled the United States for years in their Motor coach. They experienced interesting adventures and created treasured memories. Together they formed numerous friendships that were renewed each year in their travels.
She was preceded in death by her:

Visitation: Visitation from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 10:15 am from Kurrus Funeral Home for a 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, April 12, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon, IL with Msrg. James Margason officiating. Interment will follow at College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL.
