I was so sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. I knew her because my husband Carl Murphy worked with Ed for years at the liquor company back in the day. You have my condolences.

Dear Callison Family, for our entire lives my brother Jim and I heard about the Braunschweiger Group from our mother Marie aka ReeRee. On Sunday entirely by chance and coincidence, for the first time in decades I bought braunschweiger and Durkees and ate the whole thing. (My wife does not go for it, so I never have it). Yesterday, I read this obit. I bought some more braunschweiger. Although I don’t know you, I wish my condolences to all and will keep on with the braunschweiger tradition.

To the Callison Family, my deepest condolences on the loss of your mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. C was an extraordinary person that could make you smile and laugh even when you were nervous, who stood by friends at times of loss and who was a friend to me. She also involved me in her dinner party planning because I needed to learn ‘how to’ after the death of my mother. We also managed to go out ‘antique hunting’ one summer while I was in law school. I remember spending the entire day laughing despite the rain and cold. She brightened our lives with her laughter and friendship. Again, my condolences on your loss.

Dear Callison Family, My deepest sympathies to you for the loss of dear, sweet Shirley. My husband, Dr. Robert Hoehn, grew up across the street from Ed, Sr. and they remained friends and fraternity brothers all their lives. Shirley was a lady full of grace and grandeur who enriched the lives of all around her. Now she is with her beloveds Ed and Lynn. May your memories console you in this time of grief. Rest In Peace Shirley.
