Ronald L. Dennis, 66, of Millstadt, IL, born Tuesday, December 28, 1954, in East Saint Louis, IL, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Ronald retired in 2011 from St Clair County where he was a Probation Investigator. He was a member of the International Police Association, Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt, IL, Gothic Lodge #852 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies Past Commander-in-Chief from 2007-2009, received Honorary 33 degree August 30, 2005, Ainad Shrine, Ritualistic Cast, Widows Sons and Millstadt Community Choir.
He was preceded in death by his:
- Sister: Kathleen S. Collins
Surviving are his:
- Parents: Vernon L. and Frances “Bonnie”, nee Kleinschnitter, Dennis of Fairview Heights, IL
- Long time girl friend: Cheryl Sheehan
- Nieces and nephew
- Kristin (A.J.) Scharf of Millstadt, IL
- Joseph Holliday of Shiloh, IL
- Sarah (Scott) Scoggan of Quincy, IL
- Brother-in-law: James Collins of Belleville, IL
- Dear great nieces and nephews.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Children Dyslexia Center of Southern Illinois.
Visitation: Visitation from 12:00 noon – 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois, 33 Walk-through will be held at 1:50 pm followed by Widows Sons and a Masonic service at 2:00 pm.
Funeral: Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Peter Ill officiating. Private family Interment.

Family please know that you all are in my Prayers. I only met Ron the one time and we became friends instantly due to both our LOVE for his sister, KATHI. God shall PROVIDE comfort during this storm and we shall continue to keep each of you uplifted in PRAYER’S.

Wish I would have visited you more often. I will never forget the good times we had at the E St Louis YMCA and elsewhere growing up.

My deepest sympathy to the Dennis family . I enjoyed working with Ron during our time with the Sheriffs Dept . Ron was a great partner you could trust with your life ! He will be missed !
