Robert M. (Bobby) Hatter, 39, of Belleville, IL, born Tuesday, July 8, 1980, in Springfield, IL, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019.

Bobby worked in the power generation and construction equipment industries.

Bobby loved his little girl, who he affectionately called “Boo”, loved all the activities of her life, loved to ride and share time on the bike with her, watch her as catcher on her softball team, often giving her pointers since he also caught when he played ball.

He was a friend to a countless number of people, many times described as a man who would do anything for you, always ready to help in anyway he could.

We are going to miss his truly unique sense of humor, always ready to go one on one with you, catching you off-guard and able to make you laugh at him and yourself.

Bobby was a man with a heart of compassion, a big, burly guy on the outside, but with a genuine softness on the inside, “a big teddy bear”. We will miss your bear-hugs and the love you showed us, but more than anything, we will just be always and forever missing you, Bobby – we love you so!

We know your “First Day” in heaven was the best “Good Day” you’ve ever had.

Sending our heartfelt condolences and prayers during this difficult time to all family and friends. Most especially to Meadow whom I’ve never met. I do I feel like I know her through Bob’s posts! Last time we talked it was about our children. He was one very proud papa! And a great friend. We will miss seeing him around and laughing with him 🙁
Please share link so we can make a donation to Meadow.

Dan ordered a plant before he got to see this. We hope someone in the family likes the plant and we will also donate to/for Meadow. TRs owner is raising money as well and intends to match up to a certain dollar amount.

Bobby was and will always be my cousin. He was a protector and a giver. His love for Meadow was undeniable. They were truly best friends. Both of their faces light up when the other one arrived. Bob and Barb, I am so sorry for your lose. But a great man you did raise. Only wish I could have been there when Jesus appeared before him. Miss you Bobby

My heart hurts over this. He was a remarkable man who I got the pleasure to meet on a whim the first time I ever went to the Corner. He in time became a friend who would listen to me complain and then follow up with do this shot and Shut up or get on the back of my bike and let’s ride for a bit to get your head right! He would give anyone the shirt off his back if needed or even the last dollar in his pocket if needed. He will be truly missed by everyone. RIP Bob! My sympathies to everyone who knows him, this one is a hard one for everyone

I looked for a while for words to say. Let me start by saying you will be missed more than you know. Many years and many laughs, smiles and you always coming to my rescue whenever I needed you. You meant more than you know. So many memories cherished with you. Rest easy Bobby….you truly were one of a kind and missed by many.

My heart hurts to say until we meet again. I met you not long after losing my husband, your kindness and friendship was and always will be cherished. Say hello to my Hud who you said you would have loved to meet. God Speed my friend. God bless and give strength to his family. Ironically you were layed to rest on Huds birthday. The memory bench you had made for me will forever remind me of you both.
