Jeff you were considered family to Jason, me and our sons. We feel empty inside and will never understand why you left us this soon. You will be missed and we will think of you often.

Love always,

Kat and family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss of Jeff. I don’t have to tell you how much Jeff was loved by many.
I pray you find comfort and healing in his memories.

I think Kat has heard many stories like the one I have written below.

I first met Jeff back in high school when he started, I guess you would say dating my best friend Jenny. I remember the Cutlas he had back then. Took many of rides in it and saw it for hours parked in front of Jenny’s house as we were also neighbors.

A few years later we continued to hang out together. Jenny’s mom Barbara loved Jeff. Enough so that she told Jenny when she died, she wanted Jeff to be a Pall Bearer for her. Little did we know, that would be a few years later.

Of course hanging out with Jeff always came Jason. It was always Jeff and Jason. He would say, lets go to then Clinton Hills and meet Jason after work. I cannot tell you how many times I had a knock at my apartment window in the middle of the night, guess who it was, Jeff, Jenny and Jason wanting to hang out. (There might have been a little drinking involved). Jeff and Jason even came knocking on my window the night before they moved to Texas to say goodbye.

I didn’t talk to Jeff a lot after he moved, but he stayed in touch with Jenny, so when he came home we would meet up.

Fast forward to Kat being and adult and moving to Illinois. Jeff contacted me to see if I could help Kat get her first job at Target when she moved here. I remember telling Jeff absolutely, and I will even be her surrogate mom. Of course, every time he came home, I would tell Kat, make sure to tell your dad to come visit me, and he would.

I could go on and on, but I will wrap this up.

Rest in Peace dear Jeff-I will continue to watch over Kat.

We were always so happy to have Jeff and Kat visit us when he was in town. His smile, sweetness just a wonderful special person.
.It was always so special to sit and talk and and visit and watch the two of you go back and forth . You both were so blessed to have that wonderful bond.

Kat you are so beautiful , kind, sweet, very funny and I know your dad is so proud of you. He adored you , told me several times how blessed he was to have you.
Your closeness with your dad was so special and something you will always have in your heart .

Jeff, Juanita is going to miss her Carlos. It was so good catching up for lunch at the lake recently. If I had know that would be the last time I saw you, we would have stayed longer and shut the place down. Rest peaceful my friend.
