Richard “Mike” Sleeth, 54, of Mascoutah, IL, born Monday, October 17, 1966 in Indianapolis, IN, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.
Mike was a special education teacher for high school seniors. He was a member of Harvest Church.
He was preceded in death by his:
- Father, Robert P. Sleeth
Surviving are his:
- Wife, Terri L., nee Stovah, Sleeth of Mascoutah, IL
- Mother, Marjorie, nee Meaker, Sleeth of Macon, GA
- children:
- Megan (Rowan Greenlaw) Ferari of Malden, MA
- Sarah (Fred Dukes) Havel of Swansea, IL
- Jamie (Ryan Peterson) Havel of Belleville, IL
- Brother, Robert Doug (Twilla) Sleeth
- Sister, Susan (Angelo) Conti of FL
- Grandchild, Jourdan Brown his “grandman”
- Nieces, Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews
- Fur babies, Tucker and Shelbee
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Service: Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Terri,
I am so sorry. There is very little that can be said at a time like this that a big ole hug wouldn’t say better. One verse that has helped me in my greatest time of loss was “To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord”. I know you have already been reciting it in your mind and truly believe it to be so.
