Richard H. Kelley, Sr., 89, of Belleville, IL, born Sunday, December 3, 1933, in East Saint Louis, IL, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Richard was a retired Carpenter for Local # 169. He was a member of Gothic Lodge #852 AF & AM, Ainad Shrine, and United States Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his:
- Wife: Gladys, nee Needham, Kelley
- Son: Richard H. Kelley, Jr.
- Parents: Harry R. and Lois, nee Ramsey, Kelley
Surviving are his:
- Daughter: Patricia Kelley of Litchfield, IL
- Grandchildren
- Lydia Orf
- Rhiannon Orf
- Audrey Orf
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Children of St. Louis.
Visitation: Visitation from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, IL. Masonic service will be held at 7:30 pm at the Funeral Home.
Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL, with Dr. Joe Scheets officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

Sorry for your loss. I have been his neighbor for 14 years. He kept to himself but when my daughter and I would sit out on the front porch and he was leaving he would always say hi. He will be missed.
