Patti Sue Ovies, nee Rast, 86, of Swansea, IL, born Sunday, October 25, 1936, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at her residence in Swansea, IL.
Patti was a bookkeeper for Rite Electric and Illinois Distributing for many years. She was a CASA Childrens’ Advocate for over 20 years, served in High Mount School PTA for 10 years as well as a member of Junior Wednesday Club, she sang Soprano in the Belleville Philharmonic Society. Patti loved helping children from abusive homes through CASA. She loved dancing/singing, as well as Italian Opera, Muny Opera, and The Hill in St. Louis. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Swansea and served as a St. Clair County Election Judge for over 15 years for Thomas Holbrook.
She was preceded in death by her:
