Michael “Sarge” Allen Ervin, 55, of Belleville, IL, born Monday, May 3, 1965, in Muncie, IN, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at his residence.
Michael worked as a logistics manager for Transport One.
He was preceded in death by his:
- Mother: Kay G., nee Boyer, Ervin
Surviving are his:
- Wife: Lynda, nee Thompson, Ervin of Belleville, IL
- Father: Dale Ervin of Belleville, IL
- Sister: Jennifer K. Ervin of Desoto, MO
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association.
Services: A Memorial Celebration will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, IL

My brother was an amazing person and will be missed terribly by everyone who knew him. Mike touched so many lives during his (short) time on this earth. He loved his family, buses, race cars, sports and animals. He was a leader and showed kindness to everyone he met. He is with our mom in Heaven now and no longer in pain. He gave pancreatic cancer a hell of a fight. We will all miss him. We love you so much Mike!! ❤️??❤️

Sad to hear of Mike’s passing. We were cousins that never met in person. Facebook introduced us and we chatted from time to time. So sorry for your loss my thoughts are with the family. Traci Banta

We were classmates & friends who had regrettably just kinda drifted into different circles. He was a kind friend to me. His broad smile met me at schnucks back in March after a while not catching up. I am blessed to call him a friend & we are poorer for the loss of his company, laugh, voice singing a C&W song, & grin. God Bless & Keep you & your Family.
I still chuckle at him telling me his Fathers Dave Kingman stories.
