Jake and Mary were special neighbors. They lived next door on East O’Fallon for many years. Mary would spoil us by making her coconut cake. She always had a smile on her face. Mary will be greatly missed. She was a great lady. Rest in peace. Many blessings to her family. xo

Aunt Charlene, as we always called her, was so special to me and my twin brother, Ken, son and daughter of her brother James Marlon Stallons. Aunt Charlene and I stayed in touch by phone and letters, also visits when we could as we live in Michigan. Our special Aunt was much loved by our dad – I think she was a favorite of his – and by my husband, son, and daughter. Aunt Charlene was always happy and thanked God continually despite burying 2 sons and her husband. The kind heart and thoughtful ways of this dear Aunt touched us deeply. Aunt Charlene last came to MI in 2011 for our son’s high school graduation party in honor of her brother (our dad) and us. We had a great time with her. My husband, Jim and I visited her in Collinsville in August, 2019 and had such a great time. We went through historical articles and pictures of the family that I had never seen before. I went to the Stallons reunion with Aunt Charlene twice and learned so much about my heritage. I am truly grateful for her life and her kindness to Ken and I and our children through the years. Our dad died when we were 14, and Aunt Charlene has always been a huge support for us. Jim and I planned to go back to see her in August, 2020 but were unable due to COVID-19. I hope to carry on the beautiful spirit of this wonderful Aunt. Family was everything to Aunt Charlene and I always knew about each grandchild and your families as she would update me thoroughly during visits and phone calls. May Aunt Charlene Rest In Peace as she surely heard “well done good and faithful servant” upon entering Heaven’s gates. Until we meet again, I will always love you.

She was known to us as Aunt Charlene, (our second mother). God rest her beautiful soul. A beautiful lady. I am one of Ruby & Jack Cathers’ daughters. We loved her dearly and know she is at peace and at home with her other family. She definitely will be missed. She knew how much we all loved her. Until we meet again.
