Marvin “Roy” Lansing, Sr., 88, of Hamilton, IL, formerly of Washington Park, IL, born Thursday, September 27, 1934, in Caseyville, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in Macomb, IL.

Roy was a retired welder for Falling Springs Rock Quarry after 20 years of employment. He was also part owner/operator of Strong Bros. Coal Company in East St. Louis, IL and was a partner with Douglas Asphalt Company, Fairmont City, IL, for 20 years. Roy also served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1959. Roy was very involved with his children’s sports and strongly supported St. Philips Parish in East St. Louis for many years.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation: Visitation from 9:30 am – 11:15 am Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 11:15am, Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Joe Scheets officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

Our deepest sympathy to the Family. Everyone loved both Fred & Marge. They were the most down to earth people you would ever meet. They raised a lovely family.
