Marjorie A. Schanuel, nee Long, 84, of Belleville, IL, born Wednesday, February 24, 1937; in Milwaukee, WI, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021; at Sycamore Village Assisted Living in Swansea, IL.
Marjorie was a sales associate for Sears. She was a past President of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and member of First United Presbyterian Church in Belleville, IL, the “Red Hat Society” and a long time member of the RSVP.
She was preceded in death by her:
- Parents: Arthur J. and Ida, nee Wadewitz, Long
- Grandson: Cody Schanuel

- Husband: Lee Schanuel of Belleville, IL

- Daughter: Lisa Schobert of St. Louis, MO

- Kiley Schanuel
- Beloved pet companion: Abby
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Funeral: Private family interment.

Have enjoyed having Margie as my friend for many years. Due to the world conditions had not seen Margie for quite some time. She has been missed and will continue being missed, when we are free to get together again. She had a way to make a person laugh. Rest in peace Margie. Your friend, Marilyn

I had the pleasure of serving on the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Executive Board with Marge years ago. I always enjoyed her presence at meetings and at lunch after a day of volunteering together. I want to express my sincere sympathy to her family. I am sorry this is late, but I just read about this in the Hospital Mur-Mur newsletter today. Jeanette Schneider
