Marilyn Louise Becker, nee Schrader, 75, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, March 8, 1946, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Friday, March 13, 2021 at her residence in Belleville, IL.
Marilyn was a secretary for Edison Brother Stores. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Belleville IL and she loved to write novels, and printed two books. She loved to crochet, play cards and spending time with family, especially Brandon.
She was preceded in death by her:

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Funeral: Memorial Gathering from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, March 19, 2021. Private family interment.

Marilyn was such a good friend to the Pierce family. She will be dearly missed !

I worked with Marilyn at EBS, and she helped me get acclimated to working in my first job. Always friendly and pleasure to see every day. My wife and I bake a chocolate chip cookie recipe from Marilyn each holiday season for our friends. Except for 2020 we end up baking about 600 cookies to share with friends and family… We always get compliments…but never share her “secret” recipe.

Marilyn and I both were secretaries at Edison Brothers. She was a good friend and my lunch buddy. We always had lots of laughs. I was the Mom of two boys at the time and she was the Mom of two girls who, by the way, she was very proud of. We always had fun. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family. May she rest in peace.
