Luke L. Haas, 57, of Swansea, IL, born Monday, July 19, 1965 in Belleville, IL, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Luke worked as a Supervisor for Heidtman Steel in Granite City, IL. He was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his:

- Thomas (Mary Lu) Haas of Nashville, IL
- Sister: Ann (Andy) Arterburn of Waterloo, IL
- Mother & father-in-law: Shirley & Harry Tourville of O’Fallon, IL
- Brother-in-law: Scott (Rhonda) Tourville of Collinsville, IL
- Sister-in-law: Terri (Randy) Ashley of O Fallon, IL
- Nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews
- Fur babies: Pugsley & Scooby.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Partners for Pets or Midwest Pug Rescue.
Visitation: Visitation from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Monday, November 21, 2022 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Msgr. Bill McGhee officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.

Worked with Luke many years and he will be missed by many of us who knew him and worked with him and under him as he was one of the most knowledgeable bosses I’ve ever worked for as well as one who would always crack a joke if he could tell you were having a bad day….Rip my friend

It has been many years ,the memories of Althoff made me stop and giggle ,your probably were the kindest person and always cheerful and smiling,I am so sad to hear the news and sending deepest condolences to all your family and new friends and old schoolmates. Huge loss for everyone involved. Luke was a great person and supervisor and everyone here at heidtman steel is feeling this loss heavily. Luke was more than just another supervisor to us guys he was just like one of us and proved it time and time again by standing up for his guys or cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. This one is tough for me as I saw Luke as a friend. Rip big guy.

Dear Haas Family,
It has been many years since we were at Althoff. I have great memories of hanging out with John in the green van and going over to your parents home and having a few dinners. My parents knew your parents well. Your Mother would tease me to make sure I cleaned my plate. It was an event with wonderful people that were kind to me. Luke was “The Youngest” and I remember him well. I am very sorry for your loss.
