Lora L. Stogner, nee Massena, 60, of O Fallon, Illinois, born Sunday, April 27, 1958, in Chicago, IL, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, Illinois.

Lora worked for O’Fallon School District 90. There are lights that burn so bright we can’t help but to bask in their intensity. Lora Stogner was one of those lights. She loved her family and friends with a fierceness. Thankful are those of us who were able to absorb the warmth of her light. We are blessed and bettered because of it.

Lora had a firecracker personality that kept us all in anticipation waiting for her to go off and leave the room in stitches. Small but mighty, short and sweet, tiniest but loudest person in the room; with a voice you could hear 3 isles over in the grocery store. She always said never a dull moment and boy was she right! With her there was fun in even the simplest of life’s everyday tasks and from her we could all learn to live a little more lively appreciating even the smallest of things.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Through her grandchildren her legacy goes on as she touched and shaped the great people they will grow to become. Rest In Peace sweet Wife, Mother, Nana, sister, cousin, and friend. We’ll see you when we get there.

She was preceded in death by her:

Surviving are her:

Lora we will miss you so much, but always have a smile when thinking of you. You were a person who brought laughter when we were around you. You were bubbly, energetic and so much fun to be around. I am so glad we got to spend a girls weekend away and also the fun times in Branson. I will cherish those memories!

This tribute is written so beautifully, and really captures who Lora was!!! She was absolutely one of the funniest people I have ever known and firecracker is the perfect word to describe her!!! Stogners, you have been in my life for as long as I have been old enough to pick the people in it, and I want you to know I am thinking of you and love you all.

To my little, sweet, precious cousin, Lora. Grandma G, who you are named after, is so proud of the wonderful wife, momma, sister, aunt and Yes, the best cousin ever! Your momma too would be just as proud of who she raised.
I will miss our fun lunches and parties with Kathy and your brothers. I am so BLESSED that we found each other and got to spend so much time together. I love you dearly my sweet sweet cousin! I am resting in the peace that you got to see Jesus before any of us; and your dear son, and momma. I am a little jealous, but so happy you got to see my momma and daddy. I love and miss YOU my dear cousin!

Our bond was built on grief. Two moms who lost their sons too young. Thank you for reminding me I was not alone. Give both our boys a big hug. I will always remember you and the peace you brought me.

Hi, I also lost a son too young and this was a comfort reading as I learned about her passing. You’re not alone…I hope they are all getting big hugs!

Thank you,

So sorry for this loss. She watched my daughter after school a few years back and we had some great conversations. She made such a wonderful impression on me, like so many it seems.

Praying for you,
Tere

Miss Lora, I’m so glad you were apart of my life. You always made me happy when I was sad; you always had the sweetest heart. I was not ready to let you go so soon. Every day I would look forward to see you at lunch or recess. I just want to say thank you, thank you for being there for me. I love you so much and will always remember you.
