Lois Dunaway, nee Solace, 85, of Belleville, IL born Thursday, May 7, 1936, in Harlem Township, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at St. Paul’s Home in Belleville.
Lois worked with her husband for over 20 years establishing and maintaining his veterinary practice, then later; as an Administrative Assistant for St. Louis College of Pharmacy and for St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her:
- Parents: Ralph and Annetta, nee Ilgen, Solace
- Sister: Jean Ludolph
- Brother-in-law: Norm Ludolph
- Grandson: Tyler Rybicki
Surviving are her:
- Daughter: Rhonda (Mike) Rybicki of Belleville, IL
- Son: Craig (Jo Anne) Dunaway
- Grandchildren
- Daniel Rybicki
- Matthew (Katrina) Rybicki

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Funeral: Private Family Interment will take place at a later date at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport, IL.

It was a pleasure to know Lois, to be part of her family. She was always kind to me and welcoming. She loved being with family, loved to laugh and enjoyed good food. It was great privilege to be part of her life, she will be missed, rest in peace Lois.

She was a very special person. I deeply regret that we didn’t spend more time together after we graduated from high school.
