Kendra S. Gula, nee Bechtold, 52, of Fairview Heights, IL, born Friday, January 23, 1970, in Belleville, IL, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO.
Kendra worked as a second grade teacher for Wolf Branch Grade School for seven years. After her double lung transplant she did private tutoring for 5 years. She loved traveling with friends and family and most of all attending her son Wyatt’s activities and sporting events.
She was preceded in death by her:

- Father and Mother-in-law, Steven and Anne, nee Bouman, Gula
Surviving are her:
- Loving husband, Timothy Gula of Fairview Heights, IL
- Son, Wyatt Gula of Fairview Heights, IL
- Parents, Dennis and Sue, nee Lehmann, Bechtold of Fairview Heights, IL
- Brother, Kyle (Kari) Bechtold of Swansea, IL
- Uncle, Roger (JoAnn) Bechtold of Chicago, IL
- Aunt, Vicky Lehmann of St. Louis, MO
Memorials: Memorial Donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation https://www.cff.org/
Visitation: Visitation from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at First United Presbyterian Church in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on January 7, 2023 at First United Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Rob Dyer officiating. Private Interment at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.

I had the privilege of teaching with Kendra at Wolf Branch. Her energy and positive attitude were inspiring. She was a blessing to everyone she came in contact with. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Iām so sorry to hear of the passing of Kendra. I had the pleasure of working with Kendra at Wolf Branch and my son was blessed to have her as his 2nd grade teacher. She was a special teacher who showed great love for her students.

I worked with Kendra for the years she was at Wolf Branch. She was a fantastic teacher, always so friendly and always had a smile on her face,
Her love for her students and teaching will be remembered forever by many!
