Hi, Gary, this is Julie Johnson Montague. Remember when we met you on the bus in Vail and we introduced ourselves as “the Johnson kids”? What amazing parents and friends they were and so greatly missed.

The obituary left out the term “great neighbor”. I have very fond memories of your parents growing up. The first NFL game I ever went to was due to them giving me a pair of tickets. Sorry for your loss.

Ken, thank you for these thoughts. Yes, all of us in Melwood subdivision share some great memories as neighbors. Mom and Dad thought highly of your parents.

Our deepest sympathy to Larry, Julie, Carolyn and families on the loss of your Mother and our very dear friend, Pete. We had so many good times through the years and Get Together was always special, just as she was.

Love to all,
Betty and Bob DesPain

Betty & Bob, thank you for these thoughts. Betty, I would have spoken more about Get-Together during the service at Kurrus yesterday, but there is not enough time in the day! All of you were amazing individuals who had so much fun together. How many people can say they have had a close friendship with 13 others for over 6 decades. In the case of Mom (Pete), Jackie and yourself, it was close to 70 years. Then with husbands becoming part of social gatherings, the circle of friends expanded. Mom talked about you often Betty, saying how pretty you are, and how special your friendship was to her.
Betty & Bob, please express to Doug what a pleasure it was to meet him. Dad thought so highly of him as his Dr. Know the two of them had a special connection. Doug is an excellent physician.
Take care, stay safe. Blessings and love to both of you.

Thank you Marcia for your thoughts and expression of sympathy regarding Mom. Your Mom and all of those in “Get-Together” shared many special times together having fun. What I remember are attending all the Pig Roasts at your family home, in which spouses and their children were invited. Take care and stay safe.
