Josephine T. “Jo” Hartfield, nee Trapp, 96, of Fairview Heights, IL, born Friday, September 2, 1927, in Tulsa, OK, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at her residence in Fairview Heights, IL.
Jo was a member of Rosalind Hills Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA . She graduated from the University of Kentucky and was a member of Tri Delta Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her:
- Husband: Jack Edward Hartfield
- Parents: Francis J. and Hattie Ell, nee Wheeler, Trapp
- Grandson: Zachary Hartfield
- Nephew: John “Tee” Trapp
Surviving are her:
- Children

- Rebecca R. Hartfield (Phillip Morales) of Belleville, IL
- Brother: Claude “Sonny” Trapp of Lexington, KY
- Niece: Frances (Steve) Trapp Rodgers of Lexington, KY
- Grandson: Travis Hartfield
- Step-grandson: Dillan Bromwell
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
Funeral: Private family services with interment at The Lexington Cemetery in Kentucky.
