James Mease, 72, of Arnold, MO, born Wednesday, February 11, 1948, in East Chicago, IN, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at his residence in Arnold, MO.

Jim worked as a Manager for AT&T. He was a natural athlete, in fact some would say he was the best 2nd baseman to ever play for Belleville West High School. He coached his kids and family in sports for many years. He was involved in Telephone Pioneers for several years, and president of a local St. Louis chapter. He was very involved in Gateway Cursillo, where he excelled as Rector. Jim loved playing trivia, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was an avid sports fan who loved the Blues, Cardinals and the Fighting Illini.

Memorials: In lieu of sending flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Cancer Research Institute.

Funeral: Private graveside services will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
Public Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

I had the privilege of coaching baseball with Jim. Lot of fun coaching our sons, Billy and Chris Keys. We will keep him and your family in our prayers.

Jim and I became friends in 8th grade at Emge school and throughout high school at BTHS class of 66. He was a super great person. Jim will be deeply missed. My deepest sympathy to his family.

So sorry to learn of Jim’s passing. Jim has been a friend ever since Emge School. He was a excellent baseball player and an even better person. Will keep his entire family in our prayers.

Jim was a wonderful person, good friend, great ball player. We had some great times running around, raising a little hell now and then. I will fondly remember those times.

Thank you for including me with update about Jim. To you and your family, please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of your Dad. Jim & I go way back together (early 1970s) with Bell. He was a good employee and a good friend, we lived a couple miles away when he lived on Express Dr. I will maintain a lot of fond memories with him.
